(January 28, 2025) – On the occasion of the Paris Radio Show, Groupe 1981 announces the signing of a five-year agreement with RCS, world leader in radio software solutions. The partnership covers the supply of music programming and on-air management solutions, marking a return to basics for Groupe 1981, which has already worked closely with the American company in the past.
Under this agreement, RCS will equip all ten 1981 Group radios with two of its flagship solutions:
- GSelector: advanced music programming software, designed to optimize track selection and content sequencing according to a fine, dynamic editorial logic.
- Zetta: a radio automation solution for smooth, high-performance management of broadcast flows.
These tools will provide Groupe 1981, France’s leading independent radio group, with a robust, scalable technological infrastructure, adapted to the management of several antennas and the orchestration of hundreds of advertising starts.
Jean-Éric Valli, President of Groupe 1981, comments: “We are delighted to renew our collaboration with RCS. Thanks to these innovative solutions, we have high-performance tools adapted to our needs, offering great multi-user flexibility and compatibility with different media. This partnership will enable us to enrich our on-air operations and offer our listeners ever more dynamic and engaging content.”
Philippe Generali, President and CEO, RCS Worldwide, adds: ” At the end of 2024, RCS proudly counted over 4,000 radio stations worldwide using the Zetta/GSelector combo. As we begin 2025, we are thrilled to welcome 1981 back as one of our new blue-chip users in Europe. With Zetta and GSelector now at the core of their operations, we are excited to continue building on this strong legacy.”
This contract testifies to Groupe 1981’s ambition to strengthen its position in the radio market by leveraging cutting-edge technologies to offer an ever more qualitative listening experience.
